[/i] so wonderful, that there had to be some way to live up to her family's expectations. so she did what she loved most. she sang. she sang and she danced and she (somehow) got into sm entertainment. and that was the beginning. that was when eunmi started mattering to her parents. that was when she started pushing herself to go further, further, further. to do more, more, more. nothing was ever enough.

♥ born to cho bae, the ceo of one of the most successful companies in seoul, and cho chun-hei, a popular fashion designer, cho eunmi was always in the shadow of her older sister. jin-ae was perfect. she was everything the timid eunmi could never, ever be. she was a model, a businesswoman, a genius, while eunmi was...eunmi. simple, young eunmi with a pretty voice and a pretty face. she was cooed over throughout her life, the subject of many rumors ("oh, she's a darling, really, but she'll never live up to jin-ae. such a shame.") and even more hopes.

♥ despite being overshadowed, eunmi was always a musical and mental prodigy. as a five year old, she began her education— taught by private tutors, many of whom were considered the finest of their fields— along with jin-ae, who was already being taught. she learnt the basics— math, reading, writing, science, etcetera— as well as many of the arts, music, latin, and of course the manners any young lady should know. her educators realized she was an exceptionally bright child, and her already rigorous education was sped up even more, so that by the time she was ten she was much further ahead in her studies than an average child would be. this continued through high school (top of her class, 4.0 gpa) until she— turned up college over training to be an idol.

♥ "what a waste of a good mind," appa said, forehead creasing, but her sister and mother were all over the choice, fussing over eunmi when she announced her new job. "oh, eunmi, this is wonderful!" and suddenly, the girl was swept into a world of training and singing and dancing, of glitz and glamour and idols. she didn't like it— not one bit. she wanted notebooks and cozy quilts and classic novels. but, somehow, cho eunmi put up with it— for her mother. for her sister. not for her.[/ul]
