The night before the great outing, Jessica decided to catch up on a good night's sleep and not surprisingly did her roommate Hyoyeon have much trouble waking the hibernation queen up. She didn't even move an inch as her roommate made various loud animal sounds and threw pillows at her in attempts to wake her up.
"Mm, yeah. I'm awake," Jessica mumbled as she went back to sleep. After a good fifteen minutes later, she yawned and managed to absentmindedly drift her way into the kitchen only to see a grand clutter of foods. She remembered her task to make something edible for the picnic. The other girls were already hard at work on their foods, so Jessica quickly rushed over to the fridge; She spotted a familiar, friendly loaf of bread that made her face gleam. "This should do - I can make sandwiches!" she said to herself as she hopefully hugged the loaf of bread.
Excited, Jessica grabbed whatever was in her view: tomatoes, lettuce, unknown sauce, and chicken bits. Sandwiches in their convenient simplicity thwarted Jessica's efforts in making something edible as she cut the tomatoes too thickly, smashed individual slices of big lettuce, soaked the bread in the already mysterious sauce, and "tenderized" the chicken pieces.
She felt someone looking over her shoulder, disrupting her focus. It was the leader of their girl group, Taeyeon, who told her that "your cooking is so bad that we pray after we eat. Trying to be funny, Jessica repeated the line and created an unfunny, awkward silence. "It's alright Jess, not everyone can create your Sica Effect", the leader laughed. It was time to go and pouting, Jessica scrambled her odd-looking sandwiches and rushed out the door along with the other girls.[/ul]
