HIGH SCHOOL PLOT PLAYERS: ANAMI and OMOTO have been best friends for as long as they can remember. The two are very close and tell each other almost everything: well except for the fact that ANAMI has fallen in love with OMOTO. Though ANAMI has openly confessed to her best friend that she is homosexual, OMOTO doesnt realize that her best friend is in love with her. ANAMI comes to realize that things may never be at that level with the two, and is content with them just being best friends. Enter NAKATA, the new student, who's likable to all. Some more than others, OMOTO starts liking him and starts to pursue him. ANAMI wathces on uncomfortably, trying to dissuade her friend from pursuing a relationship with the new boy. NAKATA finds out that OMOTO has a crush on him and, being the prankster he is, decides to play along. Eventually, NAKATA finds that he really does care for OMOTO, and tells her so. OMOTO is thrilled, but ANAMI is not. She decides that her best friend and love deserves better and decides to come clean about her feelings for OMOTO and pursue her herself. Upon finding out about her best friends' feelings for her, OMOTO realizes that she likes both of them, and is very troubled by it. She doesnt know what to do, and while she continues "seeing" NAKATA, she also doesnt make an effort to forget ANAMI. NAKATA doesnt know anything about ANAMI, but he starts getting suspiscious watching the two supposed "best friends" together. Will OMOTO find it in herself to choose one of the two? Will NAKATA realized that OMOTO has feelings for him and ANAMI? Will ANAMI pursue her best friend more fervently if he finds out? Find out in WHY I LIKE YOU.
