it's the year 2021, and the original members of new directions have long since left mckinley high, and now have lives and families of their own. principal figgins has long since retired, thus the school is now under control of miss catherine shapiro. sue sylvester and shannon beiste have also retired and left... but will and emma schuester remain. emma is still the mckinley high guidance counsellor, and will still teaches spanish and is the new directions mentor. despite after the 2012 nationals success with new directions, will has never felt the same about any of the rest of the gleeks that have come and gone. he misses santana's bitchiness. he misses finn's hilarious inability to dance. hell, he even misses rachel's complaining. so what does he do? organise a reunion.
so what happens when the new directions kids come back to lima, ohio (well, the ones that managed to get out of lima), and they all see each other again after ten long years? alongside the happiness and joy of finally being together after such a long time, there is also heartbreak, drama, despair, and a lot of tension. when they meet the new new directions, it inspires them all to stay in lima for a little while. and what do they do? they only go ahead and start up their own glee club (soprano spirits), becoming rivals with the new new directions (despite the decade between them all). of course, the adults are thrown into turmoil. do they support the brand new new directions, the kids they have grown to love, or do they support the original glee club, the kids that started it all?
there has so far been a lot of drama, and sure as hell there's gonna be more to come. so, what's going to happen? will the glee clubs continue to clash together, and battle it out until the very end? will peace be restored?
