Especially for Park Hyesu, nothing ever seemed to be going right for her especially ever since the accident. Ever since it happened Hyesu only practiced and did the shows that she was told to do with a smile on her face. However upon returning to the dorm it would be another story, that’s when everyone would ask ‘Kat, are you sure you’re okay?’ and the answer would be the same. A small nod of the head and a forced smile, ‘Always…’ No one would ever know the feeling that she faced alone not even Aecha or Lala as she liked to call her more than anything in the world.
One night after coming home from a late night practice Kat stretched her arms above her head as she walked into the living room seeing that no one had been in there except for their manager. Paying the man no mind she went to shower and change into some normal non sweaty clothes that seemed to cling to her whenever she would walk. After gathering up her things from the restroom she dragged her feet along the floor before getting to the room she could call hers and well her roommate Liu Mei Li’s of course most of them were out doing a CF of some sort, so that had pretty much left Kat, Lala, and Angela by themselves with one of their other managers. Collapsing on to her own bed she curled up into a ball staring at the wall, ever since she came back from Houston she pretty much took all of her things down and put them in a box. The memories seemed to be too painful for her even now, but she was slowly gathering her wits about her. But as she came to find out that her mind, heart, and soul would always be worlds apart from everything she knew to be reality and fantasy. After a while of lying there she got stiff and had to walk around otherwise her knees would kick her in the morning. In doing so she walked out of the room and out into the kitchen trying to find something good to drink even though the girl knew that she had been hungrier more than anything.

Smile Your two eyes look at me and smile sweetly, even on the day we parted, you looked and smiled at me, I know it all, love can always approach you blindingly making you dream until it takes everything from you forever... It was still partly undecided if being back in Seoul was a good thing for Baek Aecha. Sure she loved the sites, sounds and smells but the cold weather. No, she could live without. Aecha was more of a summer type of person so when the winter months hit, she just couldn’t get over the fact that she had to dress in layers. Most days when she was inside, she would strip off those layers as fast as she could. While they were stylish, layers upon layers of clothing were just suffocating to her. Today was no different.
Though, taking her Texas Rangers baseball cap off, she chucked it over to her bed and sighed. After coming back with Kat from Houston, she noticed a very distinct change with her dear friend. She knew for one that she couldn’t blame her nor could she console her just right because of the circumstance. This left Aecha in a rut. How could she possibly fix a problem when she didn’t know what to say? Well, not true. She knew many things she could say but none had ever seemed appropriate. Sticking with Angela for the afternoon, she let Kat go off yet again into the practice rooms to let off her steam.
Angela was rather amusing. Aecha would love to play cards with her because the girl never liked to loose yet did almost every time. Layla sat on Angela’s bed and smiled with a mischievous, cat-like smile as she played her cards. It was great to not have to teach anyone else how to play poker but the fast approaching temper of Angela’s kept them from playing any further than their third round. Even if she did win, Aecha offered to make Angela something to stop her pouting. Why was the winner feeding the loser? Hm, good question.
While messing around in the kitchen, her ears perked up as she heard the door open and close. Had Kat already been back? And for how long? She spied the girl heading to her room before shutting the door. Guilt came over her as she wondered if Kat heard her and Angela laughing while playing cards in the other room. Finishing up Angela’s snack, she hurried off back to the girl and gave her a nice fruit snack surprise. After a few playful words and a grape-throwing war, Aecha left to sneak over to Kat’s room. She didn’t bother to knock like she should have but instead peeked her head in.
"Kitty Kat? Can you come out to play? I’m bored and covered in grapes.” Aecha said that last part absent-mindedly as she looked down to her oversized-white button up’s pocket and found a grape inside. Picking it out, she popped it into her mouth and waltz into the room making herself comfy on Kat’s bed. “Angela was being mean. Go bite her.” Of course Aecha was kidding but that would be a funny site none-the-less. Leaning over to Kat, she poked her leg before shaking it. “Stop laying around! Come play! I’m bored!” She whined and made a sad puppy face to go along with her words. This had to work. It always did. words: 538, Song: Smile (OST Hyena) by Kyuhyun, Notes: Sorry, tis late... |

No one had gone shopping for food recently; either that or the person who cooked for them had been out doing it now. But just as she closed her eyes, a voice came into tune judging it had been Aecha's she didn't bother answering it, only because her friend had been notorious for just bardging in whenever she pleased. Thus exactly what she did and sat down on the bed starting to whine that Angela was getting violent.
Sitting up she didn't look at her friend just at the bare walls that covered her half of the room while Mei Li's were all covered in stuff. With a small sigh she glanced at Aecha and sniffled, "Appa (It hurts)..." Of course she couldn't bring herself to do anything to Angela only because she didn't have the energy for anything in a good long time. As much as the maknae got on her nerves it would never been the same for her as long as she was going to stay in the same rut. Getting up she grabbed a notebook rolled it up walked into Aecha's and Sachiko's room waltzed over to Angela whacked her over the head and walked out of the room.
Sniffling a few more times she went and hugged her friend tightly not wanting to let her go, she had been her last resort and never really wanted to cry in front of anyone. Before too long Hyesu would need to get ready to leave for another practice session, just so that she could get her mind off of everything. So far it seemed to work but then there would be times that she would just lose control of everything. Thankfully no one would be around not even Lala would which was a rare thing because they were always doing things together.
However this would be something that no one be able to touch on because the scar was in her heart and was still fresh and bleeding. After releasing her friend she wiped her eyes and turned on the light just to take the time to dig through her drawers, “Do you remember the song I wrote a few years ago. It was a ballad type song, I was thinking about using that in our next single or album if the writers like it enough.”Of course it would be a slight long shot but anything would be possible as long as they were able to sing it and what not, they should have been fine as long as she could find it.

Smile Your two eyes look at me and smile sweetly, even on the day we parted, you looked and smiled at me, I know it all, love can always approach you blindingly making you dream until it takes everything from you forever... Sitting on the bed, she bounced her legs up and down and twiddled her thumbs together. Park Hyesu didn’t seem very responsive to Layla’s whine so she had given up halfway through her process. When the other girl finally did move, Layla perked up again and smiled ready to tell Kat all about- Oh... That’s why she was in here alone. Hearing her call for her dad broke Layla’s heart. Instantly her legs stopped bouncing and twirled a strand of loose hair around her index finger. What could she possibly say to make that better? What could anyone say to make it all better without purposefully making it worse? She sat there and thought as Kat moved around.
Being slightly distracted from her thoughts, she watched Kat curiously as she got up, found a notebook and left the room. “Yah! I was talking to yo-” Her words stopped short when she heard notebook smacking a head. Angela’s angry protest was enough to inform Layla of what Kat had done. “I didn’t mean for you to really go do it...” She mumbled to herself before Kat came back. When she did, she smiled innocently and began to swing her legs up and down again.
Hearing about this song, she noted the somber tone that seemed to be ever present in Kat’s voice now and thought back regardless. Ballad.... Ballad... Oh yes! “Ye! The one you wrote during the summer after your turtle died...” Trailing off, Layla still felt weird saying that word. Died. It seemed too soon. Shifting her eyes back and forth in the awkward aftermath of her words, she gave a nervous laugh. “I mean, it was a good song. Enough emotion behind it to be a hit. Hey, maybe we can see if the producer will allow you to sing it on the next album? It’ll be a good number to add between the other lively ones, you know? And no much dancing would be required!” She ended on a hopeful note.
Though, surveying her friend now, Layla couldn’t help but frown. Scooting off the bed, she walked up behind Kat and pinched her left arm as hard as she could. Turning her around, she held the other girl at arms length. “Stop being sad! I.. I command you not to be anymore.” She said with a strict tone. “I feel like Mirage just told you that she’s leaving and getting married to another frisky feline tomorrow or something. Which hasn’t nor will happen, mind you Kathryn Park. So please!” Shaking Kat a bit, she did it for a few seconds. “Please give me my best friend back! I want her here now!” Letting go of the poor girl, Layla crossed her arms over her chest and pouted while tapping her foot impatiently. Tough love was needed here and plus, Layla didn’t want Kat running off to the practice room again. Even for Layla who loved to dance whenever she could, she hardly ever spent that much time in the practice room as Kat has been lately. One could never get enough practice of course but shouldn’t there be a limit? Yes, and Layla was declaring this Kat’s limit. words: 533, Song: Smile (OST Hyena) by Kyuhyun, Notes: Blame Hyperness this time... =D |

With a frown she pouted a little bit only till Lala walked over to her and shook her down demanding that Kat return to normal. Of course she couldn’t blame the girl for doing so, after this entire whole thing had been taking a toll on Kat way too much. After a few minutes of looking at her friend with a sad straight face did she make a random face in order to make her friend laugh a bit, after all it had to work, right? Only time would tell in which made Kat giggle a bit. Shaking her friend off her arms did she walk back over to the drawers and put the lyrics up and sat down on the floor with a plop? “Ya, I know you’re worried but it really does take a lot of time, but I’m slowly getting over it. But I will say this I think I’m getting down the routine that you’ve been such a drill instructor on.”
Kat knew that Lala wasn’t a drill instructor but it only made the scene a bit funny to imagine, of course it could also possible be very true in the slightest. Grinning from ear to ear she shielded herself in case of an attack from pillows or stuffed animals.
After all one wouldn’t want to have the rath of a dancer be fall her at any moment. Thinking about it for a moment she looked up to her friend knowing that she had something from home to speak about, “So how is dad? Is everyone well?” There would be no use in trying to hide it only because she knew that the two of them had spoken a while back while Kat had been practicing up a storm. In which it only made her want to call Eun Jo just to make sure that he was doing well in school and what not. His final years of school were fast approaching him and she wanted him to buckle down and do well.
Jumping up from her spot she twirled around on one foot before landing on the other giving her friend a peace sign and an air kiss to boot. It had been awhile since she did anything like that, it had also brought back memories of when the girls were younger and in high school themselves. Any time a guy would approach them full of cockiness the girls would do a twirl and a type of pose telling them to shove off. It worked for a while till two guys managed to get passed that and actually wanted to get to know them a bit more. However with time all things changed, “Do you remember Derik and S…what was his name again? Scott? Stanton? Or was it Saehwa?” Then the name donned on her, Yoon Saehwa he had been a transfer student from Korea to the Houston area in which the two boys over came the girls and became good friends with them. Tilting her head to the side it made her think a little more, “I wonder what happened to them after high school?” The girl was full of curiosity now and it would only get deeper until she actually found out or eventually forgot about it.
