After finally finishing up with a CF, it was quite nice to have half a day off to yourself. This rarely happened now and days so of course everyone jumped on this opportunity. She wasn’t going to sleep on it or go rehearse in the practice room some more. Oh no, no, no. This afternoon was going to adventurous. Aecha would make sure of this. Pulling her hair back, she grabbed a hat and brown leather jacket before heading out the door. After she reached the elevators, she pulled out her phone and gave a threatening but friendly text towards a friend to meet her at the mall in thirty minutes. It was a Saturday afternoon after all so he should be able to make it. If not then Aecha’s consequences were quite severe.
Escaping the building without really saying where she was going was such a challenge that by the time she made it out into the cold busy streets of Seoul, she was actually happy. This was saying a lot considering just how much she disliked winter. Placing her sunglasses on, she wondered how it could be this cold with the sun out as the harsh winds finally hit her. Thankfully, the mall wasn’t too far away from her dorm and made it there rather early. Aecha seriously contemplated waiting outside but figured he was a smart boy, he could come inside and find her.
With a small grin on her face, she found the first store and entered without hesitation. Locating the female section instantly, she maneuvered her way through the racks with scanning eyes that she liked to considered, speed shopping. It was a quite simple process really. She scanned everything and narrowed down where she wanted to go the most first before picking up a single thing. Today the dressy tops were calling her name as she made her way towards a specific top. Once Aecha got there, a frown formed on her lips. It was so high up and she couldn’t really see well. Why was it so dark in a departmen- Oh. Feeling her sunglasses slide down her nose, she took them off as everything suddenly became ten times brighter. Smiling in victory, she looked up to the top again and reached up on her tiptoes to grab it.
After her third attempt, Aecha was getting rather frustrated. In a huff, she placed both hands on her hips and glared up at the stubborn top as she lightly tapped her left foot impatiently. Her mind was working on a plan to pull down the must-have-or-I-may-die top as she looked to the shirts below it. None of them spoke to her like this other one and yes, shirts did speak. They soke volumes about a person and the shirt Aecha was aiming for was a blaring speaker just waiting for her to buy. If only a magic ladder would appear, that would be splendid.

Byeongkeun sat in his rolly chair and spun in it a few times, awaiting a text message from one of his friends. He never liked going anywhere if his plans weren’t set, and today, he had plans to go somewhere he didn’t want to. Waiting for that text message, hopeful for confirmation, Keun tapped on the arm rests, with Eltanin staring at him with a happy, lolling tongue and wagging tail. The amazing pup was kind enough to keep Keun company no matter how odd he was being, locked up in a room like that, singing rather loudly random tidbits of whatever songs popped into his head. Right in the middle of singing along to Yuri’s rap in SNSD’s “The Boys,” he was cut off by his phone, the volume on it’s maximum. His phone wasn’t able to reach the loudness of his nearly screaming voice before it rang. Reading the text out loud, bit by bit, he caught small keywords. Sorry. Can’t go. Got a date with my girlfriend. Bam. Keun leaped out of his rolly chair and Eltanin plopped herself up from his bed, mirroring his excitement. “YES! I’m getting a new outfit today. Woo!” The prior plan of watching some melodramatic, clichéd film with his friends and their girlfriends was canceled; The couples wanted to have a more intimate date.
Thank goodness for his organization; Keun was so excited that he nearly toppled everything that was in his way, over as he darted across his room. Wallet. Jacket. All good! Before walking out the door, Keun went to his bathroom mirror and made sure his hair was absolutely perfect. It had to be, especially since he was planning on raiding as many stores as he could. “Shop your hardest today!,” he said, giving himself a quick wink and a thumbs up in the mirror. Almost slamming the house door on himself as Keun dashed out, he held onto the doorknob and opened it again, quickly shouting, “don’t worry buddy, you’re going to enjoy what I plan to buy for you~.” Eltanin sat happily and peeked at the gap of the door before Keun closed it.
As soon as Keun arrived at the mall, he spotted Eltanin’s favorite pet shop, rather it was the only one in the entire shopping center. In any case, his pup was always happy whenever he took her there. He spent nearly an hour there trying deciding which collar would look better on Eltanin, or which treats and toys she would enjoy most. If there was anyone Keun shopped for as much as he did for himself, it would be Eltanin. He’d always been grateful for that lovable bouncing, energized furball. Walking out of the pet store with three cute pink and blue bags, decorated only with the store’s logo of a dog silhouette on what looked like a bubbly train, Keun browsed the stores on that level.
He had planned on visiting all, if not most of the stores in the shopping center today, so he started off with the first one he saw. The store looked almost preppy and colorful, so he strolled in, taking a look at the many sections of clothing styles that seemed to pop out at him like a child pop-up book. Before he managed to take a look around the men’s section, he saw a girl, reaching for a top that was placed too high for her to reach. The manager’s should’ve fixed the store’s layout even though they had a lot of things for sale; Not many girls would even be able to reach that high, especially for tops that looked uniquely buyable. Tsk tsk. Lifting an eyebrow, Keun leaned in to take a final look before offering her some help. Well, she almost had it. He laughed quietly at this cutely frustrated girl.
Keun was known to be quick and smooth, so reaching for the top this girl wanted was easy, as opposed to reaching for it and causing everything else to topple over and crush her. Nothing to worry about! He grabbed the top from over her shoulder and reaching hands. ”Were you trying to get this miss?”, with a polite smile, he offered her the top, making sure he hadn’t crumpled or squished it. ”You should be careful, that box looked like it was going to fall, Keun bit his lip and pointed at the half open cardboard box, dangerously wobbling closely towards the edge. Someone should probably take care of that.

It was evident that Aecha wouldn’t reach the top this way. The wheels in her mind were turning as she contemplated maybe using another - within reach - top to try and knock it down. Though she would hate to just knock it to the floor. It was rather gorgeous. She tried one last time reaching her fullest height as she closed her eyes in concentration like it would help. Feeling fabric on her fingers then fall away, she had the briefest thought of succeeding. Snapping her eyes open when hearing a voice behind her, she turned her head and lowered her arms. So a magic ladder had arrived. Granted, he wasn’t in the exact form of one but this ladder would do.
Smiling and giving a nod in relief, she accepted the shirt grateful for her ordeal to be over with. There were words of thank you on the tip of her tongue, ready to be said, when she heard his next words. Turning her head, Aecha looked up curiously until she spotted the said box. Alarm flashed across her face as she took a step back away from the scene. With another jump or so, she would have been crushed. It had brought outrageous thoughts to her mind. “Oh how dangerous! I wonder if someone did that on purpose?” Wondering aloud, Aecha wouldn’t put it past a customer to do such a thing. Once a girl wanted a piece of clothing, she would undoubtably try everything to keep it safe. Maybe this was the case now?
Focusing her attention back to her savior, she smiled at him. “Thank you for retrieving this. I suppose heights were not meant to- Oh!” Getting side-tracked, she looked to the right of the boy as her peripheral vision caught sight of some bright orange shorts that almost matched the shirt Aecha now clung to. Walking around him to the clothing rack just off to the side, she looked at the shorts in wide-eyed wonder. Pulling off a pair, she held it to the shirt and pressed her lips together while narrowing her eyes a bit. She was in thinking mode now as she surveyed the two pieces.
Quickly concluding a maybe for both, she turned to the boy. ”What do you think? She held up the outfit right in front of him so he could have a good view of both. “Too much of one color or just right?” It may have been winter but bright colors were always fun to wear in the dreary winter seasons. At least this was Aecha’s thinking. Glancing to the clothing rack again, she spied other colors that the shorts were set in. Having a two-second attention span was hardly ever a good thing. “Oh there’s a royal blue too!” She cooed and jetted off to the other side. For her, it was rather hard to stay still for long periods of time so this lack of being stationary for a long period of time wasn’t anything new. As for her company, she would feel bad for him. Later.

Incapable of getting any words out, Byeongkeun observed this energetic lady. After paying some regard to the box that had been hanging over her head when she he had been reaching for the top, she had diverted her attention so quickly to the top and matching shorts. How amazing, this strenuous shopper was.
His eyes followed her as she navigated around him, walking towards a bright pair of shorts. Ah, so she asked him for an opinion on that outfit. This guy could talk about clothing and outfits all day, commenting on this and that, but considering going overboard with details about some girl’s outfit that he didn’t know, Keun tried to hold back his entire critique on the shorts.
He leaned on one leg and assumed his thinking position, bringing up his right hand to his chin to survey the outfit she held up. The colors were bright and warm, which he thought was a nice change up to the typical cool colors of the season. Would he be able to tell her that although the shorts were the best shade of orange but they didn’t do much to contrast the already gorgeous top she had? The color was a little too “solid” which didn’t really go well with the intricate top that she had chosen. Perhaps a different color would also go well with that top, not necessarily an orange, Keun thought deeply, remembering a pair of eye-catching blue shorts on the way to his rescue.
“It looks alright, but I think that it would look better w-,“ he tried to tell her, before she noticed the shorts that he was about to suggest. This girl really must like shopping if she gets so excited like this. It looked like she knew what she was doing, and even if it took different combinations of what she saw, she would probably find something that suited her. At least, that was Keun’s technique for shopping unless he saw something that completely imprinted on him at first sight.
He relaxed from his thinking position and laughed quietly under his breath, thinking about how he was when he shopped by himself. At least it was cute for a girl to be this energetic about clothing, but for a guy, unless he was with other people, it would’ve called for odd looks and laughs. It wasn’t fair that he was restricted from happily jumping from piece to piece, finding what he would look good in. Keun took a peek at the clothing rack he was standing next to, seeing that the girl was contemplating her choice of the bright orange shorts with the new royal blue ones she discovered.
Bright teal shorts, not quite neon, but definitely not dull, was calling out to him, threatening him that if he didn’t show the girl these shorts, it would curse his style forever. He tilted his head and reached out for the shorts, with a unique lace pattern at the bottom. It fit winter, but it also fit that top, mirroring the anything-but-bland style of it. “How do you find this one? It fits your top’s style and the color doesn’t really take attention off of the top, rather it compliments it pretty nicely,” he commented, walking towards her. Giving her another warm smile, Keun held the pair of shorts up to her, giving her an encouraging nod.

Oh yes, these shorts would definitely look great with this top. Though the colors contrasted well enough, Aecha couldn’t figure out why this just seemed off a bit. Too much solid colors? No, it couldn’t be that. Maybe the wrong color? It could be. Making a face at the shorts, she turned behind her to spy the other choices. The only problem was that nothing seemed to poke out like it had before. This was stumping her to no extreme. Usually there wouldn’t be a problem with this but shopping alone was never helpful for her. And where was her friend? Shouldn’t they have been here by now? Stood up again... Oh they were going to receive a few choice words when she was done with her shopping excursion for sure.
Hearing the familiar voice from before, Aecha turned curiously to him as her eyes light up with excitement. Yes, this was it! Taking the shorts for herself to examine next to the shirt, she smiled in amazement. “Oh this is perfect!” Turning her gaze back to the boy, she smirked at him with an all-knowing look in her eyes. “You’re good at this, you know that?” Surely he did but it was always delightful to reiterate things just for clarification.
Being all set, Aecha was ready to move on to the wider range of the store. However, she first had to acknowledge just how much she had appreciated this boys help. “Since you’ve been so helpful to me, I should pay you back. But what would be worth-” Oh, she had the perfect idea! “I know! An outfit for an outfit, come along. I will help you choose something as well. Two heads are better than one, yes?” She said walking to him and pushing his shoulder a bit with her own to nudge him along. “I’m an excellent shopping campaign and my advice is right every time. And of course, reference’s available upon request.”
Okay so she was joking about that last part but it really did feel like she was trying to sign up to be his own personal shopper. In a way, she sort of was. It was rare for her to ever have the chance to do her own shopping now and days. So to be able to do this and help while doing it was beyond splendid. Marching ahead to lead the way, she called over her shoulder. “Dark colors or bright? Hm, what about a mixture of both?” She questioned him trying to get a feel for what his style was to help efficiently.

Oh my, she sure is jumpy – I better just follow along, lest two jumpy shoppers knock down everything in range. Byeongkeun was glad to hear that she liked his choice in shorts. Not like his clothing choices were ever wrong. No. Pfft –dusts off shoulders-. He’d been shopping for a long time now, therefore seasoned himself for odd combinations and complicated styles, anything and everything. Why would he even know anything about women’s fashion? He always wanted to go shopping with his girlfriend, that is, when he gets one. Why waste his superb mix-‘n-match powers though. Pfft. Keun was always one for saving those in need, and in this case, fashion choice emergency, cue triumphant pose.
Definitely. This guy knew he was good at fashion choices – fashion was what made most of his, or anyone’s physical image anyway. It’d be completely absurd for the most popular guy in school to dress up in mediocre, boring clothes. He returned her smirk with his own along with a thumbs up as he fully extended his arm.
This would be something new as well. Whenever Keun would shop in a group, he would be leading everyone around as opposed to this situation. He could take fashion advice, but he never had anyone pick out clothing for him. Agreeably nodding, he loosely strolled along, following in the girl’s path. ”Two heads are better than one – but what are you planning on dressing me up with?” He’d heard many comments from many of his “fangirls” about what they would like to see him in. “Nono, he would make a good bad boy” “NO, he should dress up formally every day,” they’d argue. Too bad they weren’t stylish enough to understand. Tsk tsk.
This girl totally looked like an amazing person to shop with. Would she be considered an assertive shopper? Enthusiastic shopper? Of course, it would have to come down to her taste – and choosing an outfit for a picky guy. Asides from his meticulous neatness, wearing a mediocre outfit would kill his mood immediately. He looked around, being nudged along by the girl. AH, these pants. Reach reach. Maybe he’d give her a shot in finding an outfit for him. She obviously had the style to. ”Hmm, let’s go with the mixture of both,” he replied, suggesting to himself, a test for this stylish stranger. It should’ve been alright anyway. Keun didn’t come to the shopping center today, looking for anything in particular. He strolled along closely behind her, passing potential parts of his outfit.

Happily heading over towards the men’s section, she began to zone in on certain items. Well this didn’t take long. She heard his question all too clearly though and wondered if he was joking or not. Giving him slack - he was a stranger after all - she shrugged. “Clothes, of course.” She turned her head to the side to stick her tongue out at him. Oh boys, they never learn. Trusting a girl’s instincts should be first nature especially hers.
Layla’s fashion sense may not be chosen by her most days but they would always give her choices. Never choosing wrong, by her standards, she was glad she was going to be able to do this. When he finally did answer her though, they had made it to his section. Turning around, she came to a complete stop while holding her arms out so he wouldn’t run into her. “Hmm...” She said holding that word out a few more syllables than necessary as she began her survey of him to sum up his style. “Both you say? I suppose...” She picked at his shirt and wrinkled her nose. Did he know his own fashion trends or not? Then again, Layla wasn’t a huge fan of plaid but let it slide just this once. “You should have worn a blazer with this. You could have looked a bit more sharper.” She noted before turning her gaze to the clothing options.
Pants. Well, this was a start. Walking around the area and being very quiet, she felt like if she was loud she would startle all the good pieces off. Back-tracking, she went back to this pair of pants that was seemed dressy for jeans. Layla liked dressy. Pulling off the top pair, she held them up for him to see. “Your dark mix! Maybe some brown dress shoes with a brown belt to match... oh but what top...” Looking off to the side, she pushed the pants to him and looked around again.
For reasons unknown to her, she was leaning towards making him dress up a bit. Maybe it was because of his lack of blazer that inspired this? Heading over to the button down shirts, she looked through the various options and colors. “Hey...” She was about to call to him when she remembered, Layla never introduced herself. Whipping around, she laughed. “I never got your name! I feel silly now.” She said shaking her head. Oh how embarrassing! Gazing to the side, she almost jumped towards the oxford style shirts. Lingering on the white one, she narrowed her eyes as she thought this through. “I’m Layla, by the way. Would you be opposed to wearing white? It would be fitted of course and you have to tuck it in. Hm, maybe roll up the sleeves a bit.. Oh! What about pink?” Getting excited, she picked up the light pink one and held it up against the white one. Such a tough choice.

You would look sharper with a blazer. Ouch, she had a good point. A little shocked at her comment, Byeongkeun quickly looked down at his clothes as if he had spilled hot soup all over it. Given he did dress up pretty casually today, he wasn’t used to receiving constructive criticism about his clothing, or anything for that matter. “oh my goodness, this looks great on you!” or “just woah. Just amazing! –clapclap-“ were the most common comments he received after picking something out. Hmm, Layla definitely knew what she was talking about though, causing him to immediately feel a little more respect for her. And on the basis of shopping, harhar. ”Oh, but a blazer would make me far too sexy,”
he diverted, trying to make an excuse whether how true, for her comment on his outfit. Almost crashing into Layla when she turned around and held her hands out, Keun almost stumbled into a stop. He’d have to pay much better attention around this girl before she led him unknowingly off a cliff. How fancy~ Being all dressed up made him feel all the more handsome. ”And how’d you know I would like these?” he asked, lifting up the pair of pants that were forced onto him. He took note of the nice flattened out seams and folded the pants over an arm. Since Layla was fulfilling his duty to find an outfit, Keun walked along, checking out anything and everything that caught his attention. He didn’t need to worry about what was going to match because today, he met his own personal shopper. The bad part of shopping by himself was buying too many things that weren’t in a set. Matching with the clothes he already had was definitely alright because he already had so many clothes to match with; the problem though, was buying too many things. There were so many things he could want to buy just in one store. A misplaced, “gold” embroidered strap back hat caught his attention as they travelled through the jungle of endless cloth. Briefly stopping as Laylae looked through the button-down shirt section, he took the hat and tilted it to the side. Of course, he wasn’t planning on wearing this with the chic clothes Layla was looking through. Leaning forward, he tried to take a peek at what she was looking through. Whew, good thing she skipped –that- hideous thing, he mused as soon as he saw a faded gray-cotton bell blue. The buttons even looked like rotten marble cake. Name? OH, his name. Keun tilted his head slightly as if he were confused about her question. Having remembered that they’ve only just met, he quickly responded, ”Ohh! Well, my name’s Byeongkeun. Thanks for helping me with shopping by the way, Layla.” At the mention of white and pink, Keun tried looking at the clothing racks next to and behind her. Thinking about how pink would even work on him, he nodded with his lips tightly sealed. ”Just as long as it’s not like that kind of pink.” He pointed at the sleeve of one of those shirts sticking out a rack over from her. Hot pink and misplaced in with the nicely colored shirts. The light pink one didn’t look bad at all, but would he be able to admit it? He never anything particularly manly about the color pink. Blue was the automatic “manly” color, and for other colors, you could attach cool adjectives to them. Pink though… twinkly? Fluffy? Edible like cotton candy? ”If you’re going to dress me up in pink, I’d have to find a rocker outfit for you,” he joked, though somewhat seriously. Taking the light pink shirt and holding it up the him, he tried doing a sexy pose, waiting for her comments. WORDS! 631 STATUS! COMPLETED TAGS! In the middle of her focused shopping, she heard a comment that made her laugh. Oh, so he had confidence did he? Interesting. Her sharp tongue couldn’t be held in this time though. “And it would have added to your remarkably high self-confidence level.” Oops. She always tended to speak like that no matter the person. “Self-confidence is a good thing though.” She added in quickly with a nervous laugh and smile just in case her comment offended him. Usually they did with other people so just to be on the safe side...
Smiling to herself, she beamed with pride at her first pick. In reality, this wasn’t new for Layla. Usually the coordi-unni’s choose her outfits for her only leaving two choices to be made by her in the end. It almost seemed like Layla was taking the place of a coordi to this boy. How fun! “Because they’re awesome, that’s how.” Giving a wink, she set about her task once more. Which in truth they were. The dark color of the jeans weren’t too black but they weren’t too faded either. The perfect balance to this amazing outfit that was slowly forming in her head. Yes, this would work out completely swell. Swell? Hm, maybe she was letting the department store fumes get to her head... Shaking her head no, she decided it was just the excitement and nothing more.
Byeongkeun. Such an interesting name! She turned to him and coo-ed at it in her head while she let the smile play on her lips. “You’re very welcome, Byeongkeun... Keun? Hm, I like Keun. Yes, you will be called that.” She mutter that last part to herself even though Keun could hear her perfectly.
Looking to the shirt he mentioned, her eyes grew wide and a face of horror overcame her. Why on Earth would she ever pick out such a horrendous thing? Who on Earth would ever pick out that horrendous thing? Shivering, she turned her attention back to catch a brief glance at a frown was it? She was a mili-second away from asking him about it when he diverted her attention from it. Layla gave a laugh and shook her head.
“Oh please! Pink is perfectly fine. And don’t you dare touch my outfit.” She warned with a straight index finger pointed at him. Her warning glare very much contradicted her smile as she fixed the shirt on him. “Maybe roll up the sleeves leave the two two buttons un-done... Hmm...”
Stepping back, she looked him over then wrinkled her nose. Snatching the light pink shirt from his hands, she tossed him the white one before placing the light pink back in it’s place. “On second thought, pink doesn’t blend well with you skin tone. We can’t distract from the face now can we?” She smiled in victory as she linked arms with him.
Making her way out of the men’s section, she snatched a brown belt on the way. “Here. Use this as well with the outfit. It’ll pull it together. Do you have shoes to match this belt? Ah, how nice that would look. Sleeves rolled up just below your elbow. Top button open to give a peek of some skin to tease the girls. Maybe a nice, shiny and big watch to make the guys green with envy. Mm, yes. Perfect.” As she was speaking, Layla was day-dreaming as she laid out this whole outfit in her head and nodded once with approval once it was a all complete. Oh yes, she still had it.

Byeongkeun thought of himself too highly so insulting him was pretty hard. Most of his “cocky” comments were for playful purposes. He’s very humble when it genuine bragging situations as he expects the other person to “just know.” He rarely ever doubts himself because of his brimming self confidence.
”You have amazing fashion sense~ I admit, I thought this would’ve been a waste of my time in the beginning,” he admitted, apologetically giving her a smile. ”I was obviously mistaken.” Keun glanced back at the pants she had picked out for him. Though the pants looked somewhat like a pair that he already owned, the jeans, nicely faded & hued, convinced him to keep those jeans in mind. He was honestly curious, not to mention excited, to see the outfit that Layla was planning out.
The warning about the hideous shirt, thankfully, that she skipped was simply because of the many times that Keun let someone else pick his outfit. They always claimed that they would be able to find the perfect outfit, but dear god. He had to just smile and nod, saying a nice “ohhh… I’ll keep this in mind” comment. A wasted day was sad, because Keun always had a schedule running, doing this and that. Some clothing should just never ever ever be seen on a guy.
Keun quietly took in her clothing commentary, disagreeing about anything pink in his head. He already had a strong image of prancing in the hallways, holding hands with a group of girls and extremely friendly boys, singing loud songs while doing so. Keun looked at her as if her comment was shocking. Having Layla shopping for him was too convenient. He had saved himself from having to make too much commentary about the clothes because she pretty much covered everything that would pose as an issue. Too good! He arched a brow at the pink shirt, before she took it back from him, when he saw his reflection in the metal rack’s curve. Keun managed to get out a few words of approval about her last comment before she physically pulled him onwards.
”Are these what I’m supposed to try on?” he asked, signaling at the dressing rooms because his hands were full. Spotting a classy black fedora, Keun switched it with the swag hat he had been wearing, and put it over Layla’s orange cap. Surveying the outfit again as Layla was speaking, he headed towards the one lady that was managing the entire dressing room section. It wouldn’t have taken him too long to change, and if he liked it, he would be let Layla use him for whatever shopping needs she needed. ”Laylaaa, I’ll only be a few!” he told her rather excitedly, a few meters away anyway.
When Keun got everything set up in the dressing room, he swiftly jumped into the new outfit. The jeans were fit, not to loose, not too tight, but just right. Taking her advice about the shirt, he neatly rolled up the sleeves right below his elbow and buttoned it up until he reached the top button. Hmm, two buttons? Too much, Keun laughed out loud in the dressing room. He’d stick with just one unbuttoned button. It wasn’t a big surprise that the brown belt added so much to the outfit. The brown made the clothes reach some type of serene equanimity. Clothing feng shui, one might call it? Uh, if anyone would call it that. He adjusted the last minute fedora, tilting it a little off the left, expecting to make his outfit more chic than it already was.
Keun opened the dressing room door and exited as if he was a famous movie star. Attempting to do a provocative pose, he lifted an arm slightly up, signaling a “well, what do you think?” motion. This outfit made him feel pretty fly.

On a good day, Layla was hardly offended. But when it came to clothes and her fashion sense she was a tad bit sensitive on the matter. So hearing his praise then being terribly and hideously squished by his next words had her snapping her head at him with her mouth hanging wide open. Never had anyone but her best friend had been this brutally honest with her. Oh, what was that? He was mistaken? Damn straight! That was a little bit better as Layla’s ego meter slowly started to climb back up.
“Stick with me and you won’t ever look anything less than perfection my dear friend.” She said with a reassuring head nod. No way would she ever let Keun or anyone for that matter check out a piece of ridiculous clothing. Like that hot pink shirt, if Layla had been by herself she would have taken it and hide it out of site from everything. No one should ever think that just because a shirt is on a pretty little hanger next to other selections on a clothing rack, does not mean it should be bought.
After her little rant, she looked to Keun and the outfit she had picked out. Nodding, she added with a smile, “Yes. I’m all finished. We can find the shoes later. Unless you have some to match it already..?” Letting him go, she watched him walk up to the lady managing the entire dressing room. Hm, was there something else it needed? Shirt, pants, belt, watch, shoes..? Surely he could grabbed the other stuff later. Pacing, she tested her patience as she waited for him to come out.
It felt like Christmas morning to her. Waiting for all of her family to come down the stairs so she could be the little elf and pass out presents to everyone then tearing into her own. Oh yes this was how it felt like for her right now. And why did guys have to take such time to get dressed? Maybe she didn’t give enough directions on how it should appear? Or maybe he wasn’t liking it- Oh no no, he did like it. He had to. She picked it out after all.
With all her internal ramblings, she almost missed Keun coming back out. If it hadn’t been for her pace back in the direction of the dressing room, Layla would have definitely missed him coming back out. Her eyes lit up when she saw her creation standing there. Everything was perfect. Well, minus a silver watch and some shoes, it was just like she pictured. “Yay! You look good! Turn around now. Slowly!” She called quickly biting her lip. And yes, even the black fedora seemed to fit everything. Oh perfect, perfect, perfect! Placing a hand on her hip, she leaned to the right and smirked. “Wow I'm good...”
Though she did spy one bit that was making her inner perfectionist come out. Practically bouncing over to Keun, she signaled him to stop turning. “Stay still.” Smoothing out the back a bit more, she tried to get the fluffyness to go down. “Tuck in this back part a bit. Like this,” She smoothed it out some more so he could take care of the rest as she began her own slow inspection. Yes, everything did look quite dressy. Giving a thumbs up, she looked up at him with a very wide and cheerful smile. “So.. what do you think!?”

This girl looked familiar, well obviously not someone he knew since they just met only today, but someone he's seen around? Well, it'd probably come to him again later, so Byeongkeun let the thought pass. -shrug- Shoes? Surely he had something that would match this outfit. He could always just search his endless shoe rack, comparable to an impulsive female shopper who loved shoes. Like the brown belt Layla picked out for him, the tiniest details made an outfit look complete.
Keun obediently spun slowly around, and catching her impressed expression, he had to agree. He felt so chic that he wouldn't mind going the next day, strutting the hallways. Oh but why only the hallways? The world's a runway - cue sexy, provocative music. "You should help me shop more often Miss Layla - With your picks, I'll be on the top of every girl's list." He posed again when she made him stop turning. Oh? So she was getting picky? Good. He liked to look perfect. Breaking from his pose because of her instruction, Keun did as he was told and smoothed out the back part, aimlessly patting it down as he leaned forward to do so. Straightening back up, he fixed his collar and stood up straight so Layla would be able to continue her thorough inspection. "Hm. This outfit makes me feel like breaking into dance on DDR, if you've ever heard of it," he admitted, breaking into a deep-in-thought nod. It'd be crazy for someone to not have heard about DDR, but Keun wouldn't know. Girls don't usually hang out at arcades do they? Music games were his favorite, though he wasn't that amazing at dancing ones.
He was going to buy this set, regardless of price. During this entire time, he had bonded with this particular set of clothes, and loved them. Don't question his love for inanimate objects either. This guy almost felt anguished for a day when his phone slipped out of his pocket, carelessly, and died. Keun told her, "Yes yes, 100% yes. What were the chances of meeting an amazing person like you today?!" He held up his index finger to say "be right back." After Keun switched back to the clothes he was wearing, he hung the outfit he was going to buy neatly. The mirror must've been faulty, because he felt like his current outfit looked too old already having tried on a new set today. Most of the current clothes he wore was new, barely two weeks old.
As he exited the dressing room, he gave Layla a wide smile and an excited two thumbs up. Before he even considered heading straight to the cash register to take his new clothes home, Keun spotted a brightly colored peacoat. The dressing rooms were the nexus between the men's and women's sections. What caught his attention was the bright orange or yellow that stuck out even when it sat snuggled between all the other brightly colored pieces. Hmm, Layla obviously likes orange, he thought, when he looked at the peacoat and back at her current outfit. Ah, and she was looking at some -orange- shorts when I found her. Hmm. "Hm, follow me?" Keun grabbed her wrist and led her, almost running, to the orange-yellow peacoat.
"Here, why don't you try this on over what you're wearing?" he offered, holding up the peacoat by it's hanger while admiring it's perfectly glossy black buttons. So perfect that even a reflection in it was absolutely beautiful. "This one matches your orange, but the middle-y orange and yellow makes a nice contrast to top without really taking away from your brown pants~" He offered to carry her jacket in his other hand that was holding up his outfit, when he held out the peacoat. Such a pretty color - fierce but moderate. "Oh yeah, how will I ever repay you for hooking me up with this beautiful thing?" he motioned happily at the classy set.

“You’re very welcome, Keun! It’s the least I can do for helping me with my short dilemma earlier.” Layla replied with a smile mid-spin. Really she didn’t think this was enough but it was a start, yes? She laughed at his pose and playfully hit his shoulder. It was a good thing he had a sense of humor. Otherwise, their adventure would have been rather boring.
Double-checking, everything looked to be in order but Layla just couldn’t help her eyes from snapping up as he spoke up again. Her jaw had dropped open and she wouldn’t be surprise if it was on the ground now. “If.. If, pft! If I’ve heard of it?! It’s only my all time favorite game in the whole entire world!” She exclaimed with a little squeal and bounced up and down. “I can beat that game now no matter how many of the songs I try on expert.” She did a sample from one song she would play over and over again while singing a bit. It was a very familiar one to her but she finished with it after a few seconds so she wouldn’t get too into showcasing the entire song. Laughing at herself, she covered her mouth with embarrassment. Did she really just dance to a DDR song in a dressing room? Why, yes she sure did. “Sorry, I get excited about that game.”
Oh good! He did like it! Smiling again in victory, she nodded and waited for him to go change once again. Hopefully, this meant he would be buying this outfit. If not, she’d buy it for him. It was just too good to pass up. Plus, she would never let anyone she advised leave empty handed. Nope that was just not how she operated. It didn’t take too long though until she spotted a royal blue polo that looked just perfect. Or was it this lighting? She eyed it from where she was and was just about to head over there when Keun joined her.
The sign he gave her was very reassuring and she smiled back in response. Off to the register it was then! She looked around for it forgetting temporarily where it was located. Though it did sound like Keun knew where he was going so she followed after when he grabbed her. But this wasn’t the register. Oh no, no, no. It was the most stunning peacoat she had ever seen. Truly was a sucker for orange and this even fitted her current outfit more than the jacket she was currently wearing. With wide-excited eyes, she made a soft “Ooow...” Sound as she took in his words. Hm, he was right.
Now there couldn’t be a too match-y orange. One on top of the other was horrible but not this peacoat. Nope, Layla found it to be the perfect mixture just like Keun was saying. He really didn’t have to say much until she was handing over the two pieces of clothing she was holding and taking off her jacket to try this new one on. She was truly captivated by it.
Taking the coat off it’s hanger, she quickly slipped it on and sighed with content. “It’s amazing! But how does it look?” Stepping back, she model it for him trusting her new found mirror and judge. “Does it blend with the brown too much? Does the orange flush out my color? I don’t want to look like a ghost...” She asked looking down to try and see the color mixture herself. Orange, while he favorite washed her out in some colors. So of course, she had to be careful with this one. From this angle it was hard to tell but looking up to Keun she tried her best to decipher his expression for a verdict.

As soon as Keun heard her comment on DDR, he was hit with more excitement, causing him to perk up and tune in, more so than he already was. He knew well enough that many girls that went shopping didn't like arcades or anything, recalling the comments they made about "arcades are dirty and stupid." Sad sad deprivation. DDR was a great workout and a test of rhythm and coordination.
"Oh? We should go to the arcade and see if what you say is true. I'll have to warn you though, since I'm prettyyyy good," he replied, enunciating the words "pretty" and "good." Though he was only mediocre at DDR, he had beaten all of his guy friends. None of the girls ever expressed interest to go to an arcade to actually play with him. Seeing Layla's DDR dance sample, Keun opened his mouth slightly and lifted his eyebrows, analyzing her dance in the dressing room. Hm, maybe she was too good, since she didn't just use her feet, but actually work her whole body in the foot-match-arrow DDR game. "Ah, you're good. If we go, just make sure that your feet actually hit the arrows," he teased, playfully sticking out his tongue, yet feeling a little intimidated by this pro. Though it was indirect, Keun interpreted her dance as a challenge which he would accept.
Keun took a peek around the store when he was holding up the peacoat for Layla to observe. This place was so big; he was only able to navigate their way to the registers because of some misplaced stacks of clothing he saw on the way to the dressing room. He spotted the box that dangerously hung over Layla when he first saw her, now pushed deeply back and covered by some silky looking curtain cloth. Maybe an eavesdropping employee overheard his comment and pushed it back to save getting fired. At least the box was a good marker for where the cash register was, being in the front and all. Keun rejoiced in his head for knowing the way to the exit in this clothing palace.
He saw Layla modeling the peacoat, obviously interested. "Your top's shade of orange is more mellow and the jacket you wore definitely fit the rustic yet bright color combination, but..." He reached out to adjust the two sides of her peacoat and took a few steps back, tapping the side of his face with his fingers. "This peacoat's not pastel, so no way will it take any color out of your outfit, yet it's not too bright that it would stand out like neon lights at a bar," he assured, cheerily nodding his head in agreement.
Keun was very excited that Layla, this woman with such great taste, was interested in the peacoat that he found. If she walked out just with the shorts that she convinced her to get, that'd almost be like walking out empty handed, compared to the totally fashionable outfit that she chose for him.
The trip to the cash register would be a happy one indeed. His mission for today was weighed out perfectly with the new outfit that he's getting and the shopping spree for his happy pup, Eltanin. He looked at her hopefully, awaiting her approving of his choice.
